Manage tasks

Create, assign, snooze, complete, and review follow-up tasks for your organization.

GiveLink tasks help your team keep track of follow-up work. You can create tasks manually, leave them unassigned for the team queue, assign them to a teammate, and review open tasks from the Tasks inbox.

This page is a draft. The Tasks module is new, and a human editor should review the final product wording before publishing.

Open the Tasks inbox

  1. Open your dashboard.
  2. Choose Tasks in the sidebar.
  3. Use the pills at the top of the page to switch between Open, Mine, Unassigned, Snoozed, and Done.

The Unassigned view is useful for shared work. New manual tasks stay unassigned when your organization has more than one team member. If your organization has exactly one owner, GiveLink assigns new tasks to that owner automatically.

Create a task

  1. Select New task.
  2. Add a short title.
  3. Choose a type and priority.
  4. Pick an assignee, or leave the task unassigned.
  5. Add a due date if the work needs to happen by a specific time.
  6. Save the task.

Tasks can also be created from supported detail panels, such as a contact profile. When you start from a contact, GiveLink links the new task back to that contact.

Work through your queue

Use the row action menu to:

  • Complete a task when the work is done.
  • Snooze a task until a future time.
  • Dismiss a task when it no longer needs follow-up.
  • Assign a task to another team member.

You can select multiple tasks and complete or dismiss them together.

Weekly task digest

GiveLink sends a weekly task digest to organization owners and admins when there are open or in-progress tasks that are due or overdue. Empty digests are skipped.

The digest does not include completed, dismissed, or still-snoozed tasks.
